“For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace;
The mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands (Isaiah 55:12).”
Following The Way of the LORD
Mountains are mysterious places where holy men go to meet their god. The Native Americans held mountains as sacred and powerful spiritual beings. Stonehenge is a remnant of stone worship. The pyramids of Egypt are large stone monuments for worshipping dead kings.
Similarly, great men of the Hebrew Bible: Abraham, Moses, Elijah, and Jesus Christ who was revealed in the new testament, all spent time in the mountains conversing with their Maker.
Likewise, all of mankind can benefit from praying and talking with the LORD. Together we can grow in the knowledge and wisdom of Jesus Christ. Click each box below to uncover the hidden wisdom of prayer.

Jesus frequently withdrew to the mountains to pray and talk with his Father in heaven:-
- Immediately before choosing his twelve apostles—Luke 6:12: In these days he went into the hills to pray; and all night he continued in prayer to God.
- After the multiplication of loaves—Mark 6:46: And after he had taken leave of them, he went up on the mountain to pray.
Such conversations and communication with God provides important spiritual sustenance that helps us live out the Christian pilgrimage. What’s even more valuable is that within such private prayer, one gains a sensitivity to the movements of the Holy Spirit. You become alert to the ways in which the LORD is leading you to a particular vocation, task, or decision.

What happens when we cannot go to a hill or a mountain? Jesus also spent time praying in gardens. Right before he was arrested, he prayed in the garden of Gethsemane (Mark 14:32).
Lord Jesus also recommends we go to our prayer closets, wherever that may be (Matthew 6:6). Prayer is not meant to be hard. Jesus says, “Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).

Jesus knew he was the Christ, foretold by Almighty God from before the foundation of the earth, and prophesied by all the Old Testament prophets. He comprehended the magnitude of this truth because of the time he spent in conversation with his Father in heaven.
Constant meditation on the Bible verses and acting them out in life enabled Jesus to walk in the spirit. He connected with creation’s spiritual vibe. The LORD understood that all creation was under his dominion. Mountains were more than huge rocks; they represented his Father’s:-
- stability
- dependability
- strength
- security and
- steadfastness.
Because his imagination associated mountains with these qualities of the heavenly Father, the Holy Spirit quickened His human spirit, and Christ could hear those hills speaking and singing.
His faith in the God of the Universe moved mountains.

Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed
Following the Way of Jesus, leads to worshipping the LORD in spirit and truth.
The only way we can be light in this world is for Christ (the word of God) to shine through us.

Faith the Size of a Mustard Seed Can Move Mountains (Matthew 17:20)
Have Faith in God.
Your prayers can move mountains.
That’s why we must get the Holy Scriptures inside our hearts, so that Christ can come OUT of our mouths.

Prayer is man communicating with God, and the Father in heaven answers back through His holy Word. The LORD impresses his Will upon your heart when your spirt worships his Holy Spirit. I transform the time I spend reading the Bible into worship.
