Self Talk

Don’t be afraid to talk to yourself. When I was a child we were told that people who talked to themselves were crazy. That’s not true. Talking to yourself is healthy. Sometimes the only audience for your thoughts is your-Self. These ideas are fundamental to personal growth and victory over food indulgence.

Discuss out loud why you are eating. Most times you don’t feel like journaling about eating. Ok. So talk out loud. Rather than bottle these words up on the inside thinking and rehearsing the same script over and over in your mind . . . speak it out into the atmosphere. Stop the negative speak in your heart and talk audibly into the room. Direct your words to your Father in heaven, and let the angels minister supernaturally to that piece of your soul you just released from your flesh.

Guess what? That’s when you’re praying to God Most High who reigns above heaven and earth. Prayer is talking to God; so visualize your prayers going up as incense. See Jesus, your High Priest, interceding in heaven at the mercy seat. It’s the best place to be, asking for help at God’s Throne of Grace.

Now add a Word of God from Scripture Stand. We are to speak the Word of God, not just think it. Words are powerful and can be the instrument to successful change. A robust discussion out loud with God may be just the thing to move you into submission to His will. You will float high about your doubts and depression. It will lift your spirit up to heaven and seat you in heaven with Jesus Christ our resurrected King.
